About the Role
As a Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing operations within the home to reach or exceed goals while ensuring the provision of high-quality care. You will oversee the care staff and assume full management responsibilities in the Home Manager’s absence.
Your responsibilities will include training and supervising care staff, conducting pre-admission assessments of residents, maintaining up-to-date care plans and daily records, and fostering effective communication with residents’ families and other organizations.
Reports To: Home Manager
Skills and Attributes
Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care.
Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and staff.
Ability to promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care programs.
