Chef required for a Nursing Home in Havant, 44 hours per week. £13ph

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute a diverse menu that meets the dietary needs and preferences of elderly residents, taking into consideration any special dietary requirements or restrictions.
• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, creating an enjoyable dining experience for our residents.
• Manage the kitchen efficiently, including ordering, inventory control, and budget management.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed, to maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with dietary specialists and healthcare professionals to address specific nutritional needs and concerns.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is an asset.
• Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements for elderly individuals.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Creativity and passion for creating appealing and nutritious meals.
