The Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to lead by example, providing outstanding care and support within a dynamic care home environment. You will work closely with a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents, and contribute to the professional development of the team. This position is perfect for those who are passionate about making a significant impact on the lives of others and advancing their career in the care sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within the care home, ensuring all care standards are consistently met.
- Provide direct support and care to residents, including personal care, medication management, and social activities.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of support workers, promoting continuous professional development.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Act as a key liaison between residents, families, and external agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organisational policies and procedures.
About You
- Proven experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker within a care home setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient nature.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks.
